The Surf Ballroom holds a significant position in American cultural heritage. Originally erected in 1933, it endured a devastating fire in 1947 but emerged anew in 1948, proudly situated across from its original site.
Capable of accommodating 2,100 guests, the Surf Ballroom boasts an extensive 30,000 square feet of entertainment space, highlighted by an impressive 6,300 square foot dance floor. Its reputation as a venue for performances by globally renowned artists consistently draws large crowds, enticed by the promise of exceptional musical experiences.
Taking cues from coastal beach clubs, the Surf Ballroom emanates a relaxed seaside vibe reflected in its decor. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by hand-painted murals depicting crashing waves, palm trees, sailboats, and lighthouses, transporting them to a tropical oasis. Bamboo and rattan furnishings further enhance the island ambiance, while palm trees encircling the stage create a magical atmosphere reminiscent of dancing beneath a starry sky.
